I absolutely loooove the continuity of the show -___-
Here’s the thing, they are using guest stars that can sing. That narrows the pool a bit, and they still want big names. So, you just have to believe in the fiction. I mean, Rachel Berry should recognize herself as the star of Spring Awakening, and that her ex-boyfriend is really Jonathan Groff if we are calling their use of guest stars a lack of continuity. And she should also know that her choir teacher is Link Larken, and that she was in Spring Awakening with Tina…. I mean come on. It happens in every TV show.
It does sort of preclude those people ever playing themselves like Patti LuPone did.
