In N Out Burger.
This requires no actual review - In N Out is what it is - a west coast establishment loved by all (yes, Ben, this is not killing my foodie-cred). Went with Ben - as I can see no more fitting person with whom to break my six month fast from (or, more, deprivation of) In N Out. It was delicious and exactly as good as I expected and remembered it to be. No more need be said.
[Okay, for the foodie in me - though it kind of disgusts me that I’d even remotely analyze a fast food joint: well toasted bun (not charred, soft and not brioche), “secret sauce” (cough, thousand island) gives a tang, fresh lettuce (iceburg) and tomato slices, patty is drier and less flavorful than you’d demand anywhere else, but for $3.39 (I think?) for a burger and fries, what more can you ask.] [It’s GOOD.]
