Many of you might remember how satisfied I was with my Firepod for the almost three years that I owned it. I sold mine but upon arriving at NEU recommended it highly to my new friend Luke. If you looked at the pictures of us recording together a few days ago you’ll see his Firepod underneath the Fast Track Ultra I bought to replace mine. During that gig the Firepod really shone next to the mediocre M-Audio, and I decided that if I want to get back into recording I’d need to upgrade. Ergo I’ve procured the Firepod’s successor, the Firestudio. Same eight-input configuration, but it’s able to add up to 16 more preamps using digital inputs on the back. With any luck another gig will come around soon and I’ll be able to report on its performance!
