FML?

inkless-pen:

The pretext of the popular blog, FML, sometimes puzzles me. In the rare occurance that I find myself utturing those words aren’t in the remotest bit hilarious. Then of course, I don’t read FML because I don’t find their entries particularly entertaining either (anymore? They seem to have gone steeply downhill).

I recently read a blog (helpfully linked by the Harvard 2013 group I finally joined) that almost everyone in their undergraduate career at Harvard starts a blog, but no one reaches the fame of SATI. Gosh, really? It takes more than decent writing, wry humour, and a devoted fan base to have blogger-fame. I don’t think everyone has the courage to post about their sex life on the internet. And now that it’s been done, having the courage to blog about your sex life aint going to be enough, babe.

Those two points were almost completely unrelated (okay, fine, both about blogs and both minutely related to my life). One more unrelated point: I am running out of granola.

I actually know people who moderate the FMLs and they are of a much similar opinion with regards to the submissions going downhill. We sit together and weed out the stupid ones (and believe me, there are many).
