Apparently the Linux kernel internally uses a time unit called a jiffy. Luckily they provide convenient functions to convert from milliseconds and so on in kernel/time.c.

How do you make a politically correct default constructor for a class that describes a person? Should there be a separate string field for “preferred gender pronoun”?!?
